Chapter I: The Forge and the Farewell
In the smoke-swirled depths of the mountain forge, beneath the hammersong and the sacred heat, a dwarf stood at a crossroads.
Maegnar, apprentice smith and bearer of an unnamed legacy, bid farewell to his mentor—the forge master who raised him, guided him, and entrusted him with more than molten steel: a shard of destiny wrapped in flame. With the master’s blessing and final words echoing behind him, Maegnar stepped from the tunnels and into a world that had begun to darken.
He carried a half-forged weapon, a strange alloyed hammer-axe of unknown origin—Tharâgrin—its name not yet spoken aloud, its soul still bound in silence. Unbeknownst to Maegnar, the road ahead would test not only his steel… but his memory, vow, and will.
